Rowan of the Wood

Cover Design by Ia Layadi
An ancient wizard possesses a young boy after a millennium of imprisonment in a magic wand. He emerges from the child in the face of danger and discovers Fiana, his new bride from the past, has somehow survived time and become something evil.

Author Christine Rose first had the idea for Rowan on an airplane. She scribbled down her ideas on airsick bags, and a new story was born.

The three-year journey from concept to publication is paying off! The book won the Indie Excellence Award in 2009, was an award-winning finalist in the National Best Book 2008 Awards, and sold out of its first print run in a short five months. In its first year, Rowan of the Wood sold seven times more than the average book in the US.

Book Two in the Rowan of the Wood fantasy series chronicles the continuing adventures of twelve-year-old Cullen and his friends, Maddy and April. Cullen thought he had enough trouble surviving school, dealing with his miserable home life, and being possessed by Rowan, a 1400 year old wizard. But when Rowan’s wife, the sadistic vampire Fiana, comes back seeking revenge, Cullen and his band of misfits must do what they can to stop her. This time Cullen’s favorite teacher is Fiana’s first target.

During its first week of release, Witch on the Water placed on Amazon’s Best Seller list for Children’s Fiction. Certain to follow in its prequels award-winning footsteps, Witch on the Water has some excellent reviews and feedback from readers.

Ultimately, “Rowan of the Wood” will be a 5-book fantasy series. The authors are currently working on the third book in the series: Fire of the Fey. Set for release in Autumn 2010.

The authors are on a nationwide book tour in a fancifully painted RV through most of 2009/2010 with their three doghters and Shadow, the cat.
